This beautiful Triple Black 356 Speedster Replica was built in 2012 by Vintage Speedster, is in excellent condition and runs and drives as good as it looks! That’s correct, I did say Replica, but not just any replica….this speedster was hand built by the original Vintage Speedsters company when they were located in California, one of the original builders of Speedster Replicas. In fact they had built about 90% of all the Speedster replicas on the market and their quality and customer service was top notch. They sold the company several years ago. They used a custom built, jig welded 2×4″ 11 gauge steel frame. This rigid new structure retains the original VW floor pan designed by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche and integrates the largest frame possible. In addition the steering wheel is offset slightly just as it was in the original Speedster. While original Speedsters are a rare breed, Vintage Speedster Replicas are rare in their own right with roughly only 3000 built.
If you are familiar with these awesome Speedster replicas you know how popular they have been and how long the wait time is on a brand new build. Here is a great opportunity to get one without the long wait in an iconic color combination and in beautiful condition. This 356 Replica was built in 2012 by the original Vintage Speedsters company when they were in CA. It was sold to a guy in California who owned it for 4 years. Second owner lived in Beverly Hills and enjoyed this car immensely, driving it quite a bit. About 2 years ago he brought it to Vintage Motorcars of CA to have it repainted and it was done right and looks amazing still!! he then traded it in recently and Vintage Motorcars of CA decided to refresh the interior with brand new black leather and German square weave carpeting so this car looks practically brand new!!! As I mentioned the paint and body are near flawless. High quality professional paint job done 2 years ago and still looks close to new. All of the chrome and stainless trim looks great and this one has dual sideview mirrors mounted on the fenders. Body panel fit is excellent and doors open and shut beautifully. You would be amazed at how authentic and solid these cars are and only the true Porsche afficionados can spot it as a replica. I always recommend driving these top down as much as possible but nice to know it has a matching Black convertible top in great shape with window inserts. You also have 2 options when top is down as it comes with both the boot cover and a full tonneau cover. This Speedster will get all the looks and will be welcome at the local shows and cruise ins and take home trophies if that is what you enjoy.
Complimenting the Black exterior is a matching Black Leather interior that looks like new as it should. Seats, dash, door panels and rear seat shelf were completely redone in Katzkin Leather last month. Brand new black German square weave carpeting was installed at that time. The the car was repainted 2 years ago it also got a brand new set of VDO gauges with a GPS Speedometer. All the lights and gauges work. This car does have functional heat operated with the lever near the e-brke which brings in hot air through the vents in the kick panel area. Beautiful Woodgrain Nardi style steering wheel with Porsche emblem horn button. Super comfortable, like new interior!!!
