ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, SIGNAL FLARE RED, 1966 FORD MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE, DOCUMENTED TRUE GT, LOADED WITH OPTIONS INCLUDING DELUXE PONY INTERIOR,  FACTORY A/C AND RALLY-PAC….OLDER RESTORATION READY TO SHOW AND GO!!!
Great opportunity on a True GT ’66 Pony Convertible with great restoration history and documentation that is ready to be driven and enjoyed.  Local gentleman here in Georgia purchased this car 13 years ago and he and his family got lots of enjoyment from the car and have decided it is time to pass it on to the next lucky owner, maybe you!!? He dropped the car to me to sell for him on consignment and I was happy to handle the sale given the condition and history and documentation. I have driven this car about 20 miles and was very impressed with how it handled the road and I am sure the next lucky owner will be extremely pleased when this Signal Flare Red beauty arrives in their driveway. I will do my best to provide enough pictures, info and video to help you decide if this is the classic Mustang you have been searching for. I am also a licensed transport broker and can get you a great rate on Enclosed Transport anywhere in the country and welcome overseas buyers and can assist in getting the car to the port of your choice. Sit back and enjoy!

This classic Mustang was treated to a very high level restoration in 1989 in its original Signal flare red color. We have photo documentation of the restoration and it appears to have its original body panels with Ford numbers stamped on front fenders and rear quarters. The paint has held up beautifully and we just did a thorough detail to really highlight this beautiful color. Body is very straight overall and no signs of rust anywhere on the body. It wears original GT type stripes and badges and all of the chrome and trim looks excellent. Other than a few minor chips and blemishes from 33 years of enjoyment this ’66 Pony is still very show worthy and a great car to drive and enjoy and take to the local cruise-ins.  There are judging sheets from Concours MCA events where it scored 441 and 450 points out of 500 making it a fantastic and correct driven show car.  Beautiful White power convertible top also still in excellent condition and black boot cover for when the top is down which should be most of the time hopefully.

Complimenting the Signal Flare Red exterior is the deluxe black Pony interior that also looks fantastic. Door panels, dash pad, carpeting, dash bezel, center console, all look great. This Pony is very nicely equipped including factory A/C that was upgraded to R134 and has been properly maintained and still blows nice and cold.  Original Rally Pac mounted on the column appears to be working well including the clock. An Autosound updated radio was added back at time of restoration and fits in the original radio spot. Interior lighting in door panels and center console all working. Weatherstripping and door felts also all look great.  All of the gauges, turn signals, lights etc. appear to be working correctly.  The interior is just as impressive as the body and you will be proud to show it off at any of the shows.

Under the hood of this A-Code True GT is the original 289 225 hp V8 4bbl that has been completely rebuilt in 2001 as documentation and pics show. It had 101,000 miles on it at the time of rebuild and now has 116,450 miles so just 15,000 since the rebuild most of which were put on by the current owner in the past 13 years. The rebuild was fully documented in pics and a receipt that is included from the builder. At the time of the rebuild the C-4 Automatic transmission was gone through and resealed as well. The motor has great compression and runs out beautifully. Transmission shifts super smooth. I had it out on the highway at 75 mph and it drove effortlessly. The current owner has done lots of maintenance and regular oil changes over the years with receipts included. It has the correct GT Quick Ratio Steering box with tag and correct large single bowl master cylinder and front disc brakes that have been redone. Suspension feels great and it has the correct heavy duty GT front sway bar. Beautiful Styled Steel wheels are wearing newer BFG Radial TA white letter radials. Nice tone fROM the factory correct GT dual exhaust with trumpets exiting the rear valance and proper exhaust hangers evident. Engine bay is nicely detailed and very correct looking.  This GT has plenty of power and is ready to cruise and will most likely take home its share of trophies still at the local shows and cruise- ins if that is what you enjoy.

The undercarriage looks great and the floorpans are in exceptional condition and appear to be all original. Nice coat of red oxide primer was applied at time of restoration. The trunk area is also very nice and rock solid with trunk mat, spare tire and tool bag.

Door tag and Vin stamping on drivers inner fender are very clear and a nice assortment of documentation including an original build card, receipts and photos of restoration, engine rebuild, and maintenance.
