Classic trucks continue to be one of the hottest categories in the collector car and truck market and this gorgeous 1971 Chevrolet C-10 short bed stepside is certainly an eye-catching gem that is ready to be driven and enjoyed or taken to the shows. I recently purchased this Bright Blue metallic beauty from a gentleman in Nevada who owned it for the past 4 years. He managed a Honda Dealership but loved American classics and purchased this C-10 after it had already received a full frame off restoration about 5 years prior. Although it was restored about 9 years ago there has only been about 2000 miles put on it since completion so the build is still very fresh. His schedule did not allow him to enjoy it as much as he had hoped but he still got a chance to show it off and win some trophies. He decided it was time to let the next lucky owner enjoy this C-10 so I purchased it and had it transported in an enclosed trailer to my showroom here in the Atlanta, GA area. We treated it to a brand new set of wheels and tires and some custom stripe work from our resident expert. This C-10 has the look and performance that will plant a smile from ear to ear on the next owners face when it arrives I their driveway….maybe you??!
I will do my best to provide enough large images, a video of the truck running, and an honest description to help you decide if this is the one you have been searching for. As with all of my classics I do have this truck listed on my website and several others. If you decide you want to scoop it up before the next car guy or gal does feel free to call me to discuss how we can make that happen! I am also a transport broker and can assist you in getting this truck transported very reasonably anywhere in the US. I also welcome overseas buyers and can assist in getting it to the port of your choice. Sit back and enjoy!!
As mentioned, this ’71 C-10 received a frame off restoration approximately 9 ears ago but looks like it was just recently. The paint and body are absolutely gorgeous. The Bright Blue metallic paint glistens in the sun and is definitely show worthy. This truck was originally a medium blue color but I think you will agree that this color really brings it into the modern era without sacrificing the classic look. Body panels are extremely straight and overall body panel fit is excellent! Doors open and close nicely with no unusual gaps or issues. Bumpers and chrome trim look close to brand new. Billet grill looks great. Fuel tank was moved under the bed and fuel filler door added on top of the drivers side rear quarter panel. Taillights were upgraded to custom tear drop style LED neatly mounted. All of the glass was replaced at time of restoration as was all of the weatherstripping. Windows are tinted and function well. We had our resident pin-stripe artist Conways Customs add a few custom stripes on the tops of the rear quarter panels and along the front of the hood to set it apart from the rest. The bed area was treated to a great looking pine wood bed with stainless runners and still looks great. Overall the paint and body are absolutely gorgeous but I will not say it is flawless as it has been driven and enjoyed over the past 9 years since the restoration. The only flaws I noticed are extremely minor and are basically some small chips in the paint that have been touched up and cannot really be seen except upon super close inspection. As you will see in the photo tour of the body below this is a very high quality build and you will be proud to show it off!! Here is a walk around tour:
Of course when a high end restoration is done on a classic truck like this it continues to the interior. A super comfortable leather split front bench seat was fitted and looks like it truly belongs in this truck. The door panels were custom done to match. The bench seat is great as it allows you to either fold down the center armrest that has a burl wood look to it and provides you with storage or fold it up and have your sweetheart slide in close to you or maybe you have a kid who can join you on a nice cruise to get some ice cream. Need to keep a few of your favorite beverages cold? No problem, the boot of the center console also has a cooler area! The seat is really comfortable and looks like new. Carpeting is in great condition. This was an original Factory Air Conditioned truck that was upgraded with modern Vintage A/C system so it will keep you nice and cold when needed. Factory gauges are all working correctly and some additional gauges were neatly added including a tachometer. If you enjoy your music you will enjoy the Alpine stereo/cd with remote control and blue tooth. Speakers mounted behind the seats offer great sound. Steering column was upgraded with a tilt column and a nice woodgrain Grant Steering wheel was added. The interior is definitely in show condition and super comfortable…check it out:
At this point you may be wondering if this Custom C-10 runs and drives as good as she looks…absolutely!! Under the hood sits a ground pounding, built crate 350 V8 that is believe dot have only about 2000 miles on it since completion. It has a nice street cam, Edelbrock intake, and Holley 4bbl Carburetor. This motor is putting down an estimated 350hp and will definitely move you down the road nicely. It breathes out a great set of ceramic coated Hooker Headers and back through the custom dual exhaust that has a nice tone and exits behind the rear wheels. This truck was built to be driven so a 700R4 Automatic overdrive transmission was rebuilt and mated to the 350 V8. Power steering makes handling a breeze and power front disc brakes stops you effortlessly. Power is put to the ground through the rebuilt 12 bolt posi rear end. This truck has a great stance thanks to the drop spindles up front and lowering blocks in the rear. A brand new set of 20″ Polished Ridler wheels and new tires finish out the look. This truck really runs out great and handles extremely well. The engine bay is also nicely detailed so you will be proud to pop the hood at any shows or cruise-ins. The undercarriage is also very clean and there are no rust issues in the floorpans. Make sure you take a minute to watch and listen to the video that follows to hear this truck start up and running!
