TRULY AWESOME, FUTURE COLLECTIBLE!! 2006 DODGE MAGNUM SRT8 WITH JUST 14,800 PAMPERED MILES…. 425 HORSE POWER, HEMI POWERED MODERN MOPAR MUSCLE, 1 OF 2970 PRODUCED IN 2006…THIS IS NOT YOUR PARENTS STATION WAGON!!!
Back in the late 60’s Dodge’s Hemi received the nick name “King Kong: and in 2006 Dodge brought out the 3 letter designation of SRT which stands for Street and Racing technology. Basically, the King Kong Hemi was reborn and this time the 6.1L Hemi produced 425 horsepower at 6000rpm. You could find the SRT8 in several models in 2006 but perhaps the most unique was the Dodge Magnum Wagon. With only 2960 produced in 2006 and even less in 2007 and 2008, this 5 passenger, 5 door Muscle Wagon was destined to be a collectible!! I recently acquired this Brilliant Black Pearl beauty from the second owner who purchased it in June, 2006. The original owner put about 7400 miles on it in a little under one year and the second owner only put an additional 7400 miles on it in the past 9 years. That’s right, this awesome SRT8 Wagon was just under 14,800 pampered miles and was treated like the classic, future collectible that it is, or will be! This Magnum SRT8 has not seen a winter in the past 9 years and was only taken out on sunny day drives and an occasional local trip with the second owners family. The second owner was meticulous with all of his vehicles and got the itch for a classic Chevy Truck so he decided it was time to let this awesome wagon go to the next lucky owner….Maybe you??!! As you will see in the pictures that follow the car is in absolutely fantastic condition inside and out and was never in any accidents. It has a great stance and is an absolute blast to drive as it launches from 0-60 in just 5.1 seconds. This is a great modern muscle car to add to any car enthusiasts collection and with the extremely low mileage is sure to make a great investment that you can drive and enjoy!! As already stated, the body of this sleek wagon is in near flawless condition. The Brilliant Black Pearl metallic paint glistens in the sunshine and takes on a more menacing look in the shade and at night. This car was stored in a climate controlled garage and was truly babied like a classic car. The only real flaws I could find are some extremely tiny rock chips down low that are inevitable on a car that has been driven. I did not see any dings or other signs of wear. The area under the front bumper looks like it came from the factory free of any scrapes or marks. I had the car professionally buffed and waxed and the paint looks fantastic! Rear windows are all tinted giving the wagon an even more stealth like appearance. Check out the photo tour below:
Complimenting the Brilliant Black Pearl exterior is an equally impressive 2-tone dark gray and slate gray leather and suede interior with red stitching accents. Driver and passenger benefit from a pair of super comfortable bolstered, powered front seats that hug your body in comfort. Plenty of room for 3 passengers in the second row of leather and suede seating and plenty of cargo room in the hatch area or the rear seat can be partially or fully folded down for great storage when needed. Interior is very nicely equipped with a leather wrapped steering wheel, tilt/telescopic column, steering wheel mounted radio controls, awesome stereo with 6 Boston Acoustics Speakers, 6 cd changer, and much more. This particular car was ordered wight he SRT Option Group III with Sirius Radio, Navigation with GPS and UConnect Hands-fee communication. It also has the optional Power Sunroof. The interior is also in near flawless condition and smells like new. Take a look inside:
The 425 Horsepower 6.1L Hemi V8 launches this beast to 60mph in just 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 170mph although the speedo does go to 180. Not bad for the family wagon! This particular SRT8 has only accumulated slightly less then 14,800 miles and runs as good as new. The Hemi’s torque is put to the ground through 5-speed Automatic transmission with specially calibrated driver selected auto stick allowing the driver to shift through the gears manually if desired for even more added fun. The Sporty character of the Magnum SRT8 can also be seen in the suspension set up. SRT Tuned dampers, specially tailored spring rates and suspension bushings and larger anti sway bars provide amazing handling from a such a long wheel base. The ride height of the SRT8 Magnum is also 1 1/2 inches lower then other Magnums to decrease the weight center. A specially tuned Electronic Stability program is also set to meet the Magnum SRt8’s handling characteristics. I have attached a video below from MotorWeek that will show you more detail about all of the grey features and performance of this muscle wagon. The power rack and pinion steering makes handling a dream. To aid in stopping this high performance wagon an awesome 4 piston performance brake caliber set up from Brembo was added. The only non-stock item on this wagon are the wheels. Evidently the original owner managed to scrape a few of the stock wheels so the second owner thought it made sense to replace them with an awesome set of brushed steel and black 20″ wheels which i think really accent the body beautifully and look better then the stock wheels. They are wrapped in a practically brand new set of Firehawk wide oval low Profile radials for awesome grip. You will be very impressed with the performance of this future collectible and will want to drive it everywhere!! Hopefully by now you can see that this is truly an awesome opportunity on a truly special vehicle. You will be hard pressed to find another Magnum SRT8 with this low of mileage and in this condition.
